1. The service

Track Book Price lets you compare book prices, see library and subscription options, keep book lists and reading history, and get alerts and recommendations. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may change or stop features at any time.

2. Prices and availability

Prices shown are samples or last-seen figures. They may be wrong or out of date. Confirm the final price, format, and availability on the store or at your library before you buy or borrow. We aren't responsible for price changes or stock.

Delivered prices include estimated shipping and an estimate of sales tax; the store's checkout is final. "May be included" means you should check with that service; we don't guarantee a book is included in any subscription. "Cheapest way to buy" plans are estimates based on prices when last checked.

3. Affiliate links

Some links earn us a commission. This doesn't change what you pay.

4. Libraries and Libby

Track Book Price isn't affiliated with Libby, OverDrive, or any library. Library availability depends on your library and may change. Borrowing is subject to Libby and your library's rules.

5. Your account and content

You're responsible for the content you add: lists, notes, profile details and reports. If you make your profile or a list public, you give us permission to show it on the site. Don't post anything unlawful, hateful, infringing or that reveals others' private information. Don't use the service to scrape, overload or attack it, to send spam, or to submit false price reports. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

5a. Recommendations and AI

Book suggestions, mood tags, recaps and book assistant (Mark) answers are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your judgment. Prices shown alongside them come from our price data, not the AI.

5b. Your public handle

Handles must not impersonate others or use trademarks you don't own. We may reclaim inactive or misleading handles.

6. Stopping use

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

7. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

8. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Contra Costa County, California.
